Q: How do we request a proposal from Brown Dog Consulting to facilitate a workshop or retreat?
A: To request an in person workshop proposal, please set up a Zoom call with both your CEO/Executive Director and your Board Chair. On this call we will want to learn what a successful workshop looks like for you and what your timeline is, and then we can outline a price range and determine next steps.
Q: Can we obtain your virtual governance coaching assistance on an hourly basis?
A: Yes, we can either bill by the hour, or you can pre-purchase a ten-hour block of time at a reduced rate.
Board EXCELerator
Q: How do we purchase the Board EXCELerator?
A: As a new client, please schedule a brief call with us. Then, when we know what you need, we will send an invoice and process course enrolments as soon as payment is received. Returning clients can just send us a request by email.
Q: How much does the Board EXCELerator cost?
A: Pricing is on a per-person basis, and depends on how many course participants you have and whether or not a group discount applies. Please set up a call with us for more information.
Q: For how long do participants have access to the Board EXCELerator modules?
A: Six months, with additional months available at $25/month.
Q: Do we have to purchase several Board EXCELerator course credits at a time?
A: No, you can enrol people one at a time if needed. Most clients sign up all board members to start, and then enrol new board members as needed after that.

A: We take intellectual property rights very seriously at Brown Dog Consulting. Q: Are you affiliated with Govern for Impact?
A: No. We were actively involved in its predecessor, the International Policy Governance Association (IPGA), from 2002 – 2018, including founding and organizing the first-ever international Policy Governance conference. Held near Chicago in June 2004, this conference then became an annual event.
We did become a member of Govern for Impact upon its formation in 2018. In late 2019, however, we made the difficult decision to end our Govern for Impact membership.
